Govt releases draft digital transformation strategy, ICT reform roadmap

The ICT Division has released the draft of the 'National Digital Transformation Strategy and ICT Reform Roadmap' and sought expert opinion on it. 

The draft incorporates insights from the implementation strategy provided by JICA and the UNESCO Artificial Intelligence Readiness Assessment Methodology (AI RAM). Additionally, it integrates ten key proposals from the Task Force formed for the Digital Economy.  

ICT Adviser Nahid Islam has called for feedback on the draft from Bangladeshi experts, both within the country and abroad. The roadmap will be further refined based on expert input to ensure a comprehensive and forward-looking strategy.  

The Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder confirmed the the draft’s release on Saturday.  

This initiative marks a significant step toward advancing Bangladesh’s digital transformation and aligning its ICT sector with global standards.
