BASIS president Russell quits over security concerns
Russell T Ahmed has resigned from his position as president of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the country's largest IT sector organisation.
Following the fall of the Awami League government, Russell cited personal reasons for his resignation, stating that he and his family were facing security concerns due to the changed political climate.
He submitted his resignation to the organisation’s secretary on Thursday (October 17), with copies sent to the Ministry of Commerce and the Department of Trade Organisation.
