First online digital pharmacy opened at United Hospital
The first ever online digital pharmacy has been opened at the United Hospital as part of the present government's epoch making initiative to build Bangladesh as a digital country, keeping pace with rest of the world, reports BSS.
"Such a step undertaken by the United Hospital deserves much appreciation as the people will get prescribed medicines at their doorsteps round the clock-a time befitting initiative to be followed by all others in the days to come," observed Health and family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday.
While unveiling the plaque of the digital pharmacy and opening the digital platform at the United Hospital, Nasim said the present government has been relentlessly working to build Bangladesh as a country of rapid development on the footing of digitalization.
"The online digital pharmacy, already opened at the hospital, is yet another example of how the government is encouraging such a pro-people step in the health sector keeping in mind easy availability of required medicines for all across the country," he said.
Addressing the function as the special guest, Director General of the Directorate of Drug Administration Major General Md Mostafizur Rahman refereed to the model pharmacy initiated by the United Hospital recently and said this online pharmacy would earn much more appreciation in course of time.
Earlier, Dr Sagufa Anwar, Chief of Communication and Business Development of the United Hospital, spelt out in detail as to how the just initiated online digital pharmacy would reach medicines in 24 hours to the people.
The function was also addressed, among others, by Secretary General of Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) S M Shafiuzzaman and Managing Director of the United Hospital Faridur Rahman Khan.
