Internet suspension withdrawn

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has withdrawn the decision to suspend internet services across the country to prevent SSC exam question papers from leaking.

A source of Internet Service Providers in Bangladesh (ISPABA) confirmed the matter to the Jago News on Monday morning.

As per the earlier decision, internet services nationwide were suspended from 8am. But 10 minutes later, BTRC sent an e-mail to all internet gateway operators at 8.10am informing them of the decision. Later the regulatory body backtracked and restored services.

The government on Sunday decided to shut down internet service for two and a half hours on exam days to stop SSC question papers leak.
