iPhone-8 launched in Bangladesh
iPhone-8, the latest version of mobile phone set of giant Apple brand, was formally launched today here for Bangladesh market with a call for buying the set from authorised sellers to evade from having fake or refurbish sets.
Compustar PVT Limited (CPL), the authorised distributor of iPhone in Bangladesh, launched the new iPhone 8 at a ceremony at its Gulshan office here, said a press release.
While speaking at the launching ceremony, CPL Chairman Raquibul Kabir described various features and benefits of buying the latest version of the iPhone.
Kabir urged the mobile phone users to buy the iPhone handset from authorised reseller since many unauthorised handset traders sell fake or refurbished iPhones. He said Bangladesh government is also losing a huge amount of duty from this sell of unauthorised mobile handsets.
"We don't want to see people buying fake or refurbished iPhones with the price of new one," he said, adding "As you will spend good amount of money for the high-end phone, make sure that you are buying the new phone not the refurbished one."
He also requested all to visit www.Compustarltd.com to verify the authenticity of the phone before buying any iPhone handset.
Describing various benefits of buying iPhone handset from authorised reseller, he said customers would get free data bundle from operator, EMI up to 36 months, one year service warranty and exciting freebies from various other partners.
The latest generation of iPhone featuring new designs in three beautiful colors, Retina HD Displays, A11 Bionic Chip, Single and Dual Cameras has already started pre-ordering from Friday, October 27 and sales in stores will begin from Thursday, November 2.
CPL Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Colonel (retd) Mr Mohammad Akber Hossain and Managing Director Mr Rajesh Bhimsaria were also present on the occasion.
