‘Smartphones at Tk25 monthly installment’

State Minister for posts and telecommunications Tarana Halim on Thursday said, poor people can buy smartphones in Tk 25 to 30 monthly installment.
The state minister said this while inaugurating the Telecom Reporters Network Bangladesh’s (TRNB) website at secretariat in Dhaka.
She said, I have already talked with Ericsson and Walton. They said, they can manufacture Smartphone’s worth Tk1,500 to 2,000. So that poor people can avail the handsets with a nominal installment.
Posts and Telecommunications Division secretary Faizur Rahman Chowdhury, TRNB president Rashed Mehedi and general secretary Shamim Ahmed were also present at the inaugural ceremony of TRNB website.
