Online TV-Radio registration goes to mandatory

The government is going to mandatory the registration to play online television and Radio in Bangladesh.

The process will be taken immediately to give a new form to online media, said a reliable source of Information Ministry.

The government will go for next step in this regard after completing registration of the online news portal.

According to source, a draft of application form for registration of online TV-Radio is now underway. After completing the form the government issued a notice for registration of online TV-Radio.

An official of information office told Jagonews24.com that, a meeting was held in several rounds and took decision for registration.

It is mentionable that, the government has made it mandatory for all online newspapers to be registered by January 31, including those already published online.

This was to stop ‘yellow journalism’ and ensure government support, said a government announcement.
