‘No govt decision to block facebook’

The government has not taken any decision on blocking the social networking site facebook for six hours every midnight as reported by a section of the media.

“Posts and Telecommunications Division (PTD) firmly says that media reports of blocking facebook are not correct and the government is yet to take any final decision to block facebook,” an official statement of PTD said today.

It urged all concerned not to be confused in this regard.
