7-year-old asked Google for a job - and got a personal response
A seven-year-old girl from Hereford who asked Google for a job was shocked to receive a personal response from CEO Sundar Pichai.
The impression of Silicon Valley as the Neverland of corporate life, a place full of office slides and go karts, captured the imagination of Chloe Bridgewater who decided to apply for a job at tech giant Google.
The 7-year-old was delighted to receive a response from Mr Pichai himself, her father Chris said in a post on Linkedin that has gone viral.
"I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish you set your mind to," the Google boss wrote in the letter.
"I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! :)" he wrote in the letter, which was authenticated by Business Insider.
Mr Bridgewater explained that the girl had lost confidence following a car accident a couple of years ago and that the letter delighted her.
"She is now even more eager to do well at school and work for Google," wrote Mr Bridgewater in the post.
"Can`t thank such a busy person enough to take time out to make a little girl`s dream become one step closer, although not sure she`s fully aware that it`ll take more than riding go karts and sleeping in pods to make it with Google!"
