All social media, apps unblocked

The government has lifted ban on Social Networks Twitter, Skype, Viber and IMO on Monday afternoon.

BTRC chairman Dr Shahjahan Mahmood has confirmed the matter to JagoNews24.com

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) on Sunday evening evening blocked Twitter, Skype and IMO services.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said his ministry did not issue any directive to block Twitter, Skype, Imo and Viber. Kamal was talking to journalists at his office on Monday.

On December 10, the government has lifted the ban on popular social networking site Facebook

Earlier on November 18, the government blocked Facebook, WhatsApp and Viber for the sake of security.
