Pakistan beat West Indies by 16 runs

Pakistan beat West Indies in the second T20I of the three-match series at Dubai Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Saturday.
As a result, the hosts take 2-0 unassailable 2-0 lead against the World T20 champions, who had another day to forget in the field.

Windies captain Carlos Brathwaite won the toss and opted to bowl first, reports The Express Tribune.

Both team’s fielded an unchanged playing eleven, which meant there was no Muhammad Amir on show for team Pakistan.

The Men in Green had a shaky start when opener Sharjeel Khan departed at the score of just five in the third over on the bowling of Samuel Badree for the second time in the series.

However, opener Khalid Latif (40),captain Sarfraz Ahmed (46*) and veteran Shoaib Malik (37) made useful contributions with the bat, as the hosts finished with a decent score of 160 for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, the West Indian side was once again rocked by early wickets and only managed to score 144 for the loss of nine wickets in their quota of 20 overs.

For Pakistan, Sohail Tanvir and Hasan Ali picked three wickets each, whereas Imad Wasim, Mohammad Nawaz and Wahab Riaz picked one wicket each.

The final match of the series will be played on Tuesday at Abu Dhabi.
