Tamim to stay under medical supervision for 72 hours

The condition of Tamim Iqbal has improved compared to before, but doctors have stated that he will need to remain under medical supervision for another 72 hours. Additionally, he must take complete rest for the next three months. These details were shared by the Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Professor Dr Abu Zafar, during a press briefing on Tuesday, March 25.
To check on Tamim Iqbal’s health, a government delegation led by Dr Zafar visited Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital. Afterward, he held a press briefing in the hospital’s conference room.
Dr Zafar stated that Tamim Iqbal’s condition has significantly improved. He is now able to speak and eat. Due to the risk of heart disease, he needs to remain under medical care at the hospital for the next 72 hours. Transferring him before this period would be risky. This has been communicated to Tamim Iqbal and his family.
Dr Zafar also mentioned that Tamim Iqbal will need to rest completely for the next three months, although he will be able to move around normally at home during this time.
Regarding when Tamim will be able to return to sports, doctors stated that further tests are needed before they can provide an update on his ability to resume sporting activities.
