Miraj shines with bat and ball, named player of the series
Mehdi Hasan Miraj

Mehdi Hasan Miraj delivered a stellar performance in the Test series against Pakistan, amassing 155 runs and claiming 10 wickets across the two matches. His all-round brilliance earned him the Player of the Series accolade.

In a historic series, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the second Test in Rawalpindi, marking their first-ever whitewash of Pakistan and securing their maiden Test series win against them.

The Tigers' victory in the second Test was nothing short of remarkable. After a challenging first innings where they lost 6 wickets for just 26 runs, Miraj played a crucial role in a 156-run partnership with Liton Das, scoring 78 runs before being dismissed just short of a century.

In the second innings, Miraj did not have the opportunity to bat, as Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan sealed the win for Bangladesh. Despite not taking a wicket in the second innings, Miraj's performance in the first innings, where he claimed 5 wickets for 61 runs, earned him a place on Rawalpindi's honour board.

Earlier in the series, Miraj also made a significant impact in the first Test, taking 5 wickets (1+4) and scoring 77 runs in the first innings. Bangladesh secured the win in the second innings before Miraj could come out to bat again.
