Ronaldo works out at home with his boy
While his Real Madrid team-mates prepare to take on Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday night, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to work on his fitness at home.
The Portugal forward, who is recovering from the knee injury he sustained during the victorious Euro 2016 final, has been putting in the hours in his private gym alongside son Cristiano Jnr.
Ronaldo took to social media on Monday to post a series of videos and pictures of his five-year-old running on a treadmill, waking up after a nap and going out for ice cream, reports Daily Mail Online.
Finally, the 31-year-old shared an image of himself exercising on a floor mat alongside the caption: ‘Solid work’.
Ronaldo will be absent from Madrid`s squad for the Super Cup clash with Sevilla, which will take place in Norway.
The Portuguese is one of a number of Galacticos who will miss out for the Spanish giants, with Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Pepe all expected to be absent at the Lerkendal Stadion.
Real head coach Zinedine Zidane has stressed how important it is not to rush back their talisman ahead of the start of the new La Liga season.
‘Right now he still has his injury,’ said Zidane after Madrid`s friendly win over Bayern Munich last week.
‘Obviously he wants to be back but we need patience and for him to be calm. He will be back with us soon in Madrid.’
Real are due to kick off their domestic campaign with a trip to Real Sociedad on Sunday, August 21.
