Papon leaves BCB, finally

Nazmul Hasan Papon has officially resigned as the chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). 

The long-serving head of the BCB announced his resignation during an emergency board meeting held virtually at the Ministry of Sports on Wednesday, several directors present at the meeting told Jago News.

Papon had reportedly gone into hiding following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5. 

A few days later, he communicated his intention to resign through a board director. Today, he made the decision official.
