BCB president Papon to resign Wednesday

Nazmul Hassan Papon is likely to announce his resignation as president of Bangladesh Cricket Board on Wednesday, according to sources in the board.

A board meeting of the cricket board will take place at the Youth and Sports Ministry tomorrow where Papon, who is believed to be in the UK, will attend online and announce his resignation.

The resignation letter of BCB director Jalal Yunus will also be accepted in the meeting.

The sources, however, said all processes to appoint former national cricket team skipper and chief selector Faruk Ahmed as the new president of BCB has been finalised.
