Mustafiz hospitlised after being struck by ball

Cricketer Mustafizur Rahman has sustained a serious injury in his head while practicing for the upcoming match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The incident took place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday morning. 

He was admitted to nearby Imperial Hospital immediately. 

Source said, the Comilla Victorians pacer Mustafizur was bowling in a net practice session. At one stage, he was struck in the head by a ball and fell injured. He was seen bleeding and given primary treatment by his team doctors. 

Mustafizur have so far played in nine matches and claimed eleven wickets in this year’s BPL.

Comilla Victorians are scheduled to face off against the Sylhet Strikers in a match on Monday afternoon.
