Dhaka beat Comilla by 5 wickets in BPL opener

Durdanto Dhaka defeated defending champions Comilla Victorians by 5 wickets in the opening match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Mirpur in the capital Dhaka on Friday.

Mosaddek Hossain-led Dhaka chased down a 144-run target in 19.3 overs, with Mohammad Naim, Danushka Gunathilaka and Irfan Sukkur scoring 52, 41 and 24 runs respectively.

Earlier, Comilla Victorians scored 143 runs losing 6 wickets. Imrul Kayes hit 66 runs and Towhid Hridoy made 47.
