Bangladesh beat New Zealand by 5 wickets in 1st T20I
Bangladesh thrashed New Zealand by five wickets in the first match of the three-match Twenty20 international series at McLean Park in Napier on Wednesday.
This is the first T20I win for Bangladesh in New Zealand soil.
The Kiwis scored 134 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh managed to score 137 runs by losing five wickets with 1.2 overs left.
The Tigers played the first T20 game in the venue where they crushed New Zealand by nine wickets for their maiden ODI victory against the Black Caps in their own backyard. Bangladesh’s victory also ended New Zealand’s 17-match winning streak in ODI format at home.
