England choose to bowl first against Bangladesh in 3rd T20I

England won the toss and chose to bat first against Bangladesh in the final game of the three-match T20 International series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

While the victory in the first match was dominating one, Bangladesh struggled badly to win the second game. Nonetheless, they showed the character, something what skipper Shakib Al Hasan pointed out time and again in a bid to build up a team for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

England which won the three-match ODI series by 2-1, looked out-of-sort and jaded in the T20 series. They knew well what to expect from the pitch but they couldn't respond the way they did in the ODI series.

Most of their batters fumbled after good start and on most of the occasion they played forced shot to be out against Bangladeshi spinners.

England media directly questioned whether the Three Lions take Bangladesh lightly despite knowing the Tigers strength at home.

England skipper Jos Buttler though denied the allegation, saying that it was rather Bangladesh players who put up a spirited show in the middle of the ground.

Bangladesh: 1 Rony Talukdar, 2 Litton Das (wk), 3 Najmul Hossain Shanto, 4 Shakib Al Hasan (capt), 5 Towhid Hridoy, 6 Shamim Hossain, 7 Mehidy Hasan Miraz, 8 Tanvir Islam, 9 Taskin Ahmed, 10 Hasan Mahmud, 11 Mustafizur Rahman

England: 1 Phil Salt, 2 Jos Buttler (capt & wk), 3 Dawid Malan, 4 Ben Duckett, 5 Moeen Ali, 6 Sam Curran, 7 Chris Woakes, 8 Chris Jordan, 9 Rehan Ahmed, 10 Adil Rashid, 11 Jofra Archer.
