Saif Sporting Club winds up all football activities
Saif Sporting Club, a football club based in Dhaka, has announced to wind up all its activities in professional football.
The club's owner Tarafder Mohammad Ruhul Amin made the announcement on Wednesday.
He said, "It is no longer possible for us to conduct football activities due to the current global situation. For this reason, we are removing ourselves from all kinds of football activities."
Saif Sporting Club was established in 2016 and in the same year, it took part in the Bangladesh Champions League, the country's second-tier football league.
They finished the league as runners-up and got promoted to the Bangladesh Football Premier League, the top flight of Bangladeshi football.
Then, they participated in Premier League five consecutive times and became the third in the last league.
