Bangladesh beat India to go top in points table

Bangladesh defeated India 1-0 goal in the SAFF U-19 Women's Championship 2021 at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the capital on Friday. 

With this victory, they took the top spot on the points table of the tournament.

Shamsunnahar Senior scored the only goal from a penalty in the eighth minute of the match. 

Bangladesh was awarded the penalty after the Indian defenders fouled Tahura Khatun inside the d box.

The hosts will take on Sri Lanka on Sunday in their last match of the first round.
