Sri Lanka tour not possible under such terms: BCB chief

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan has said that it is not possible for Bangladesh team to tour Sri Lanka under the conditions that has been set by hosts Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

He said this at a meeting with the board directors and high-ups in BCB headquarters at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Monday afternoon.

“In other countries cricket players have to quarantine for 7 days but the players can at least practice among themselves. They can use the gymnasium too, but under the SLC’s conditions, the players can’t even get out of their hotel rooms. They can’t leave their room even for food.”

He also said: “We at least need throwers, net bowlers for practice from the host country. They will not provide that and they will not allow us to take throwers and net bowlers from our country.”

It is mentionable that, SLC insisted that the touring team would require a 14-day long strict quarantine at the hotel and also that the team should not be more than of 30 members including the coaching staff.
