Barcelona's endless search for a No. 9
Barcelona have ruled out the idea of signing Willian Jose. The Catalans need a new No.9 and should receive permission to sign an emergency forward outside of the transfer window, with Ousmane Dembele now ruled out for approximately six months.
From Rodrigo Moreno to Chimy Avila, as well as Cedric Bakambu and Willian Jose, Barcelona have looked all over but still haven't found their man. Now, the name topping their list in Loren Moron, with Quique Setien having worked with him previously at Real Betis.
Loren
Despite Barcelona and Betis' good relationship, it's unlikely that the Andalusians would allow his exit outside of a transfer window.
Loren is enjoying himself this season and has 10 goals to his name, outperforming the second most expensive signing in the club's history, Borja Iglesias. His release clause is 40 million euros, which Barcelona are likely to want to negotiate.
Lucas Perez
Though he's not first choice, the Blaugrana have been keeping tabs on him. He'd cost 15 million euros, though Alaves wouldn't be willing to negotiate his price.
Lucas Perez has nine goals in 22 games, though four have been from the penalty spot.
Angel Rodriguez
Based on the words of his president Angel Torres, Angel would be the easiest player for Barcelona to sign, with him having a release clause of 10 million euros.
The 32-year-old has 13 goals in 28 games, averaging a strike every 103 minutes.
Luis Suarez
Probably the least likely option, the Colombian is on loan at Real Zaragoza from Watford.
At 23 though, he could be an option for the future as well.
