Challengers beat Thunder in BPL opener

Chattogram Challengers have gotten victory over the Sylhet Thunder in the opener of Bangladesh Premier Leauge’s special edition - Bangabandhu BPL.

They defeated the Thunder by 5 wickets at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Imrul Kayes and CAK Walton propelled Chattogram Challengers to score 163 with their 61 and 49 runs respectively. WIA Fernando added 33 runs off 26 balls.    

For Thunder, Nazmul Hossain took 2 wickets for 23 runs while Mosaddek Hossain, Ebadat Hossain and K Santokie bagged 1 each. 

Earlier, Sylhet Thunder set 163-run target for Chattogram Challengers in stipulated 20 overs losing five wickets. 

Mohammad Mithun scored 84 runs to help his team to set a moderate target, and J Charles and Mosaddek Hossain added 35 and 29 respectively.
