IPL: KKR vs SRH survival battle tonight

The 2nd eliminator battle of Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will surely draw the attention of millions of Bangladesh’s fans expecting their two famed performers - Shakib and Mustafiz- to play in their respective squads tonight.

The battle of survival in the race will begin at 8:30pm (Bangladesh time) at Delhi’s Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.

The winner of the 2nd eliminator will face the losers of the fist qualifiers Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2nd qualifier at the same venue on Friday.

The winner of the 2nd qualifier will meet Gujarat Lions in the final at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday (May 29).

Gujarat Lions moved straight to final of the 8-team franchised IPL upsetting topper RCB by 4 wickets in the first qualifier also at Bangalore on Tuesday.

Playing 10 matches in the first round for KKR, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan bagged 5 wickets for 243 while with bat he scored a total of 114 with the best 66 runs.

Satkhira’s young lad Mustafizur Rahman appearing in the IPL for the first time, played 14 matches for SRH and captured 16 wickets for 356 runs with best 3/16 and at average 22.25 and economy rat 6.71, reports UNB.

In terms of having most dot balls in an innings, the ‘No English, No batting’, tagged in IPL, Mustafiz placed 2nd as he got 17 dots off 4 overs against King’s XI Punjab, after Gujarat Lions bowler Dwayne Smith 18 dots off 4 overs.

Earlier, in their first meeting KKR crushed SRH by 8 wickets at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on April 16.
