Bangladesh A squad comprises Anamul against Afghan A

Wicket-keeper batsman Anamul Haque has been included in the Bangladesh A squad against Afghanistan A squad likely to test him as he was also selected for Sri Lanka trip as well as Mohammad Mithun, Sabbir Rahman and Rubel Hossain in the national squad. They will play ODIs against Sri Lanka national squad later this month.

The second string sides of Bangladesh and Afghanistan will take on each other in the first of five one-dayers Friday in Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

It is being said the quartet were named in the Bangladesh A side for some match preparation, heading into the tour of Sri Lanka.

Although Mithun, Sabbir and Rubel were part of the World Cup squad, they got to play very few matches, while Anamul was not even in the squad.

The second and third one-dayers will also be played in the port city Sunday and Wednesday, while the remaining two matches will be held at BKSP in Savar on July 27 and 29 respectively.

Anamul Haque, Imrul Kayes, Afif Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Mohammad Mithun, Farhad Reza, Abu Jayed, Fazle Mahmud, Naim Sheikh, Nazmul Islam, Abu Haider, Mehedi Hasan and Minhajul Abedin Afridi have been comprised in Bangladesh A squad.
