Bangladesh retain AFC U-14 Girls Regional C’ship crown

Bangladesh successfully retained their AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship for the South and Central zone crown after downing India 4-0 while Iran claimed third place as they hammered hosts Tajikistan 7-0 on Sunday.

Tahura, known as ‘Kolsindur Messi’, took her tally to 10 goals in four matches including a hat-trick against Tajikistan in the semifinal and a couple of braces in the group stage.

After their 2015 triumph in Nepal, Bangladesh struck 25 goals in this edition of the tournament.
