Mahmudullah, Imrul set 250-run target for Afghanistan

Bangladesh set a target of 250 runs for Afghanistan in their crucial super four match of the ACC Asia Cup at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Sunday.

Tigers managed to score 249 runs losing 7 wickets in 50 overs.

For Bangladesh, Mahmudullah hit 74 runs off 80 balls with three fours and two sixs while Imrul Kayes scored  72 off 89 with six four.

Liton Das and bagged 41 and 33 runs respectively. 

For Afghanistan, Aftab Alam picked up three wickets while giving away 54 runs in his full quota of 10 overs. .

Earlier, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza won the toss and decided to bat first in the match.

Bangladesh lost their last encounter against India while Afghanistan suffered a defeat to Pakistan.
