CWG: Bangladeshi Baki wins silver in 10m Air Rifle

Bangladeshi shooter Abdullah Hel Baki bagged the silver medal in men’s 10 metre air rifle shooting competition at the 21st Commonwealth Games (CWG) on Sunday.

Baki prevailed with a score of 244.7 in a tense final at the Belmont Shooting Complex in Brisbane of Australia.

Australian shooter Dane Sampson finished with the gold medal with a score of 245.0 while Ravi Kumar of India shot 224.1 to go on to win bronze.

This is first medal for Bangladesh in the ongoing meet and only seventh for the country in history of Commonwealth Games, which all came from shooting.

Baki also won silver medal in 10-metre air rifle in the previous Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, 2014.
