Media Cup Cricket 2018: Jago News reach quarter-final

Jagonews24.com, a popular online news portal of the country, reached the quarter-final of Media Cup Cricket-2018 knocking out the Daily Star, a leading English daily of the country by 17 runs at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium on Sunday.  

Chasing a decent total of 82 runs that Jagonews24.com set for two wickets, Daily Star were all out for 64 runs. 

Winning the toss, Jago News24.com elected to bat first and posted 81 runs in their stipulated 6 overs losing two wicket.

The all-rounder opener batsman Sayed Shipon scored 59 while skipper Moniruzzaman Uzzal played also well in the match.

In reply, Daily Star were able to score 64 runs losing all wickets.

Sayed Shipon of Jagonews24.com was adjudged man of the match award for his brilliant all round performance.
