Sri Lanka will take on Indian team led by Rohit Sharma in the first match of the Nidahas Trophy triangular T20 International tournament 2018 on Tuesday evening. The other team of the tournament is Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Cricket Board chosen Mahmudullah to lead Tigers as Skipper Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the tournament after failing to recover from a finger injury.

Shakib has been replaced by batsman Litton Das in the squad. Mahmudullah expressed hope to clinch the title in Nidahas Trophy beating Sri Lanka and India.

Indian selectors opted to rest some of their star cricketers for the short-format series and instead experiment with fresh faces.
