Sri Lanka set 339-run target for Bangladesh to chase

Sri Lanka set Bangladesh a target of 339 to win the second Test and the series at Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Saturday.

The visitors have been bowled out for 226 runs in 73.5 overs with a lead of 338 runs.

Bangladesh will need to set a record to chase the target of 339 runs. 317 is the highest score chased by a team in Tests in Bangladesh. That was achieved by New Zealand in Chittagong 10 years ago.

Earlier, Lakmal and Akila Dhananjaya picked three wickets each as Bangladesh were bowled out for 110 in response to Sri Lanka’s first innings total of 222.
