Bangladesh finish sixth in U-19 World Cup

Bangladesh U-19 team suffered an eight-wicket defeat to South Africa U-19 team in the 5th place Play-off match of ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup on Wednesday at John Davies Oval in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Bangladesh faced early batting collapse as they slipped 33 for 5. Afif Hossain and Shakil Hossain's 96-run stand rescued the Bangladesh innings and the young Tigers were eventually bowled out for 178 in 41.4 overs, BSS reported.

In reply, South Africa easily chased down the target in 38.3 overs with eight wickets in hand.
