Shakib ruled out of first Sri Lanka Test

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who was injured in the final match against Sri Lanka on Saturday, is unlikely to play for the rest of this match and first Test against Sri Lanka scheduled to start on January 31 this year.

He was taken to a hospital to scan his injury, following the "serious" injury in a finger of left-hand in the first delivery of the 41st over when Mustafizur Rahman was bowling.

After the report of scan test, physician asked him to take rest to cure finger injury.

The incident took place as he was forwarded to collect a ball, but he misjudged the height of the ball and missed it.

Consequently, he landed on his fingers which caused to injury in the left-hand.
