Mashrafe expects better from his boys in final
Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said he does not have any complain against his boys as they are working hard and they would deliver their best in the final against Sri Lanka.
He was speaking at a post-match presentation ceremony on Thursday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur, according to a news agency.
"Boys are working hard ...I can't complain. It's good it's happened before the final. All batters pointed it was a good wicket to bat on. Maybe the application wasn't there. Maybe we could have scored at least 180-200," said the Bangladesh skipper.
Mashrafe said it was good for the team as the batting woes and lack of discipline among the middle-order batsmen has been exposed. Hopefully they'll find out their mistakes. Mushfiq had a good innings. Hopefully they will deliver in the final.
Sri Lankan skipper Chandimal praised his bowlers for their thumping victory by saying that "This is what we're capable of. Boys executed well. Credit goes to all the players.” He said, “We had game plans before the start. We can control when we're fielding. Especially Suranga bowled really well at the start. Upul and Danushka finished it really well.”
He also did not forget to give credit to Bangladesh by saying that, "Credit to Bangladesh also, they've played some outstanding cricket. We wanted to attack them. Gunathilaka made a fantastic run-out and took a brilliant catch. Credit to him also."
