All three teams equal contested: Mathews
Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews said there is no scope of self complacency against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh as all the three teams are equal in strength in the tournament.
"There is no scope of self complacency as all the three teams are contested... Zimbabwe is very strong and good side and we will have to think only our first match against Zimbabwe and we'll look onward," said Mathews at a pre-match post conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) at Mirpur.
Sri Lanka will take on Zimbabwe in their first match of the triangular series scheduled to be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at SBNCS.
The Sri Lanka captain said they are not taking Zimbabwe lightly, a comparatively weaker side in the tournament. He also opted not to comment which team is favorite rather he said all the teams are equal good.
Asked to comment which team is favorite in the series, the Sri Lankan skipper replied that any opponents of the tournament are not easy.
Though as a host Bangladesh wear badge of favorite of the tournament considering their form after a flying 8-wicket victory over Zimbabwe.
Mathews said they have lost of sweet memories in this venue but all are past and tomorrow is new game new opponents they want to make a fresh start and also want to create more sweet memories.
