Tigers beat Zimbabwe by 8 wickets in Tri-Nation series

Tamim Iqbal’s unbeaten fifty guided Bangladesh to a comfortable 8 wickets victory over Zimbabwe in the first match of Rocket Tri-Nation Series 2018 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) on Monday.

Shakib-Al Hasan was the star with the ball as he picked up three wickets. Earlier, Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and decided to field first.

The decision proved correct as Shakib picked up two wickets in the first over itself. Since then Zimbabwe failed to put together any decent partnership and lost wickets at regular intervals. They finally finished their innings for a mere 170 as Sikandar Raza scored highest 52 off 99 balls.

However, chasing small totals can be tricky but the Bangladesh batsmen did not allow any complacency to set in and chased down the total with more than 21 overs to spare.
