As per FTP, Bangladesh to play 122 int’l matches in 4 years
Bangladesh will be playing 122 international matches across all formats in four-year cycle from 2019 to 2023 if the new proposed Future Tour Program (FTP) of ICC is approved.
The proposed FTP will be presented for initial approval before the ICC’s chief executive committee in February, and once approved, it will be presented for final approval from the ICC board in June 2018.
The new FTP has Test matches allocated to Bangladesh (35), Pakistan (28), New Zealand (28), Sri Lanka and West Indies (29 each).
Interestingly, the proposed program does not have a single series between Pakistan and India.
As per the new schedule, India will be playing 158 international matches: 85 home and 73 away matches. These matches will be consisting of 37 Tests, 67 ODIs and 54 T20Is. The home breakup of the schedule includes 19 Tests, 38 ODIs and 28 T20Is.
Pakistan is set to play 28 Test matches if the new proposed FTP is approved without any changes. Green shirts are also penciled to play 38 ODIs and 38 T20Is in the same period.
