Rangpur Riders need 155-run to register maiden win in BPL 5

Rangpur Riders require 155 runs to register their maiden win in the fifth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) against Rajshahi Kings at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium Saturday.

Asked to bat first, Kings collected 154 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.

Right-hander Rony Talukder scored 47 off 38 while skipper Sammy made 29 off 18.

All-rounder James Franklin was not out on 26, featuring one four and as many as six.

Paceman Malinga took two wickets while slow left-arm bowler Nazmul Islam claimed 2/20 from four overs.

In reply, Rangpur didn’t start well as they lost two quick wickets.

Till filing of this report, Rangpur collected 41 runs in 7.3 overs.

Mohammad Mithun and Shariar Nafees are now at the crease.
