Cricketer Yuvraj Singh booked for domestic violence

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who is vying to make a return to the national squad, was seen in troubled waters on Wednesday, as he was booked for domestic violence, a case filed by his sister-in-law Akansha Sharma.

Akansha, a Bigg Boss season 10 contestant, alleged that Yuvraj and his family members caused mental and financial torture to her.

The domestic violence complaint has been filed in Gurugram.

According to reports, Akanksha’s husband Zoravar Singh, mother-in-law Shabnam and brother-in-law Yuvraj have been booked for the case by the Gurugram Police.

The first court hearing has been scheduled for October 21.

Akanksha and Zorawar got married in 2014. Last year on the TV reality show Bigg Boss, the Gurugram-based girl had revealed that she had walked out of the marriage after just four months.

On the show, Akanksha also alleged that she was being harassed by her in-laws. The separated couple had filed for divorce last year.
