Tigers set 279-run target for South Africa
Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim’s 5th ODI century helped his side to set 279-run target for South Africa in the first One Day International (ODI) at Diamond Oval, Kimberley on Sunday.
The Tigers put 278 runs on the scoreboard losing seven wickets in 50 overs after the visitors chose to bat first winning the toss.
Mushfiqur Rahim was the top scorer for Bangladesh as he remained unbeaten on 110 off 116 deliveries.
In the match, Bangladesh ace all rounder Shakib Al Hasan added another feather to his galore of records as he scored the quickest double of 5,000 ODI runs and 200 ODI wickets.
