Bangladesh go down 0-7 to India in Asia Cup Hockey
Bangladesh again suffered a 0-7 goal defeat to former champions India in the one-sided Hero Men's Asia Cup Hockey held at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Friday.
India dominated in the match taking 5-0 lead at the first half and they kept their donation till the final whistle.
The former Asia Cup champions scored 7th, 10th, 13th, 20th and 28th minutes. The first four came from field goal while the fifth one came from penalty stroke. Gurjant Singh, Akashdeep Singh, Sunil, Rohidas and Harmanpreet Singh scored for the India while India.
In the second half, Ramandeep Singh and Harmanpreet Singh scored the remaining two goals in he 46th and 47th minutes respectively to registered their second straight victory in the tournament, reports BSS.
Bangladesh will play their next match against Japan on Sunday (October 15) at the same venue.
Earlier, Bangladesh went down a 0-7 goal defeat to Pakistan while India beat Japan by 5-1 goals, both their respective tournament opening match.
