Bangladesh display ridiculous batting on day two against SA
Bangladesh batsmen displayed some ridiculous batting on day 2 against South Africa during their first innings in the second Test match at Mangaung Oval in Bleomfontein on Saturday.
Bangladesh posted 143 for the loss of eight wickets till the report filing.
In reply to South Africa’s massive first innings total, Bangladesh lost their wickets in regular interval.
Bangladesh batters were helpless in the face of some devastating pace bowling attack by the Proteas.
At one stage, the tigers were six down for 65.
When the situation was like that, stumper batsman Liton Das came to the crease and helped Bangladesh to cross 100 runs mark.
Liton walked out to the pavilion after getting out by Rabada.
He scored 70 off 77.
Rubel Hossain was not out on 8 while Mustafiz scored nought.
Earlier, South Africa declared their first innings on 573 for the loss of four wickets here in Bloemfontein.
It is the highest ever score for South Africa on their home soil against Bangladesh.
Four South Africa batsmen- Elgar (113), Markram (143), Amla (132), du Plesis (135) - smashed centuries in the first innings.
Bangladesh pacemen Subashis claimed three wickets while Rubel picked one.
