Subashis breaks SA opening wicket partnership

Paceman Subashis Roy brought much awaited breakthrough for Bangladesh as the Proteas southpaw opener Dean Elgar returned to the pavilion after managing a brilliant ton in Bloemfontein on Friday.

Before departure, the left-hander scored 113 off 152 and made 243 runs partnership with Aiden Markram.

Markram was not out on 135.

Meanwhile, No 3 batter Hashim Amla has come to the crease. He was unbeaten on 1.

Till filing of this report, South Africa were 243 for the loss of one wicket.

Earlier, Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim won the toss and invited South Africa to bat first.
