South Africa declared their first innings on 496 for three at the tea break on the second day of the first Test against the visitor Bangladesh in Senwes Park, Potchefstroom on Friday.
Dean Elgar’s 199 was the highlight of South Africa’s innings though missing out on a maiden double-century was heart-breaking for the opener.
Hashim Amla went out for 137 runs when he hit Shafiul Islam’s ball in the air and holes out to Mehidy Hasan Miraz at backward point.
