UNICEF goodwill ambassador Mashrafe

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, a Bangladeshi cricketer and current captain of the One Day Bangladesh national cricket team, was made the new Goodwill Ambassador of the UNICEF.

Mashrafe is the fourth Bangladeshi cricketer to become an UNICEF Ambassador.

Earlier in 2013, world’s top all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had become UNICEF Ambassador, alongside two other celebrities of the country — film actress Arifa Zaman Moushumi and magician Jewel Aich.

It is mentionable that, The United Nations Children`s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is a United Nations program headquartered in New York City that provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries.
