Simanta wins first gold medal for Bangladesh

Bangladeshi athlete Mabia Akhter Simanta on Sunday won the first gold medal in 63kg weightlifting event at the 2016 South Asia Games in India.
The champion weightlifter lifted 67kg during snatch and 82kg during clean and jerk.
Earlier on Saturday, Rina Akhter earned the first silver medal for Bangladesh in the 12th South Asian Games in India in 60kg wrestling (women) event.
