Barca strip Neymar from Camp Nou posters
Barcelona have removed advertising posters of Neymar from Camp Nou as the Brazil international moves closer to completing his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old is expected to seal a switch to the French capital by the end of the week following a month of increased speculation surrounding his Barcelona exit.
As revealed by Goal in October of last year, PSG will activate the £222 million release clause in Neymar's Barca contract, though the Catalan club are demanding the fee up front.
Neymar is expected to travel to Paris on Friday to put pen to paper on a five-year deal and is set to earn around €30 million per season.
Barca team-mate and one third of the prestigious MSN (Lionel Messi, Neymar & Luis Suarez) team at the head of the Blaugrana attack, Messi took to social media on Wednesday to wish his friend good luck in the next chapter of his career.
While Barcelona stood firm in their attempt to keep Neymar at the club, they now appear to have accepted he will be a PSG player ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, replacing advertising containing the forward around the club.
And, on Wednesday, Camp Nou staff were seen removing the images ahead of confirmation of Neymar's move.
