Soumya says he is learning a lot from Tamim
Bangladesh cricketers are looking forward to overcome their glitch in their ongoing fitness and conditioning camp at Academy Ground in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium as they will take on Australia in a two match Test series at home.
All the members of the preliminary squad except six cricketers, who are now featuring for the BCB HP unit in Australia, are trying to work hard to prepare themselves for the upcoming battle.
Soumya Sarkar, a member of the squad, expressed his thoughts regarding himself while talking to reporters at Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) journalist’s lounge on Monday.
The left hander said he is working hard to regain his form as early as possible. Besides he has been monitoring Tamim Iqbal the way he is playing.
“Regularly I am learning a lot from Tamim. He has been outstanding in the recent past,” he said.
Hoping to regain his form immediately, he said: “I have already sort out my problems and working hard to overcome these. Hopefully I can do it.”
Not only batting Soumya can bowl as well. He can prepare himself as a prolific all-rounder for the team.
When asking, he said: “I do practice bowling in the nets. If team requires, then I am trying to help with the ball.”
Soumya Sarkar made his debut against Zimbabwe in 2014.
